Fluid Mechanics has been actively supporting power plants in the United States for over thirty years. Many of these power plants are in the Midwest and were constructed to provide both primary and standby power solutions. In recent years, many of these plants have been used for peak shaving to reduce the cost of electricity to small cities. Engines powering these power plants were diesel and dual-fuel (diesel & natural gas).
We provide parts and service for Nordberg, Cooper, Superior, Wartsila, Pielstck MaK, as well as for other makes of engines.
Central American countries and the Caribbean Islands use diesel engines to power the generators that provide power for their national grids. These power plants are strategically located throughout their regions and islands.
